About The Artwork
I wanted to convey the beauty and movement of a ballerina. I like to draw but I also like to paint so a combination of pencil and watercolor gives a contrast to the painting. It is painted with a pale yellow wash to give her a hint of color and the spray is added to convey motion. It is painted on smooth white paper which also helps to give contrast.

I was born in Bristol in the UK and now live in Sussex. I have been drawing ballet dancers since I was a child. I took ballet classes as a child and developed a love of the dance form. From this experience, I am familiar with the movement and poses and try to get this across in my drawings and paintings. The subject matter is mainly ballet as I find this inspiring, but I also paint scenic views and love a beautiful sunset!
