About The Artwork

My summer series starts with this Barbie Portrait. Her sunglasses are Dom Perignon labels. Vintage 1959.. which is both the year the BARBIE doll was created as well as the first Dom Perignon Rose was officially produced in 1959, but was never released in the market. Almost the entire lot produced went to the Shah of Iran to be served at his celebration to mark the 2,500th anniversary of the Persian Empire in 1971. A bottle of this vintage would now be worth around $25,000 The background is a lovely rose gold metallic. This hand painted original artwork in acrylics on deep gallery wrapped canvas has painted sides, is wired and ready to hang. Tagged DE in the front and signed on the back. No framing needed. My paintings come with a certificate of authenticity and a hand written thank you note. CHEERS

Quoting Paul Klee: "A line is a dot that went for a walk"...
