Ruthy Valdez is a self-taught artist known for her enigmatically figures and dreamlike backgrounds that are reminiscent of lucid dreaming. In the last 18 years, she has created her own unique artistic voice while captivating the viewer with her vivid acrylic colors and intelligent subjects. Her work has been seen on the background of cable television shows like VH1's Black Ink and Food Network Special Savor Harlem and published in newspapers like The New York Daily News, Manhattan Times and Harlem Times. Some of her paintings were seen at Miami Art Basel between 2011-2014.
