About The Artwork

Title: Black hole message Year: 2015 One time a friend on mine told me that during painting I flirt with canvas. Yes, I adore, I love canvas! When I paint I feel myself like I am in heaven. At that moment there is nobody in the world, just me, canvas and happiness. I would like very much people, looking at my paintings, to feel the same . The aim of my paintings is that they to take a person to its world, show the beauty of that world and tell him or her the whole story. In the artwork here I had to "attack" a canvas by cuts in order to fully reflect spatialistic art movement, founded by Lucio Fontana. I developed my own method, consisting in painting both front and back sides of the canvas. You can see simultaneously two two-dimentional parts of canvas, front and back ones, forming so called "four-dimentional "spazio". By this I would like to show "extra-volumeness" and four-dimentionality (4D) of spatialism. And that the "spazio" of canvas, and boundary of the visible in the painting has no limit. I called this style the "extra-spatialism" or "4D-spatialism".

Nataliya Kucher is a Dutch artist. Born in 1971, she was initially inspired by Russian painters Kazimir Malevich, Wassily Kandinsky and later by artworks of Western painters such as Hans Hofmann, Jackson Pollock, Helen Frankenthaler. Kucher’s paintings display an interest in abstract surrealist automatism, impressionism and expressionism. She often mixes styles in her artworks. That is why it is almost impossible to associate Kucher with a definite art movement. Her paintings are filled with abstract masses, shapes and forms. In her artworks Kucher follows Frankenthaler’s statement that “A really good picture looks as if it’s happened at once.”
