"BLIND MUSE" 2003 This picture is DEDICATED to all Ukrainian grandmothers! ) The painting has been exhibited at many exhibitions. In 2003, he was very fond of bold, expressive painting ... This portrait is one of a large series of portraits of my grandmother. My blind muse. She is the only one who believed in my talent! She could not see my paintings, but she could hear my poems ... She herself invented psalms, prayers, songs ... And sang and read them to God ... She always asked me what did you draw today? And she was very upset when I was lazy and did not engage in creativity ... She always asked me, did you make it up yourself? It was very important for her that I develop my imagination and fantasy. And not plagiarized from others. She was very happy when I said that this was my idea, my image ... She was proud of me at that moment! She knew how to UNDERSTAND me, INSPIRE, PUSH ME TO THINKING, TO CREATIVITY ... I became an artist and a poet thanks to her. Her name was VALENTINA, and this name is translated from Latin as STRONG. Yes, she was a strong person! Neither the Second World War, nor the Holodomor in Ukraine, nor the lies of the Soviet Union with its atheism could completely break it ... She was blind, but she saw with her heart, soul ... And she taught me to see with all my heart and soul! When I was little, she sat next to me and sang Ukrainian folk songs ... told funny and instructive parables ... taught me proverbs ... I drew, and she sang ... I drew, and she was my wings .. The time has come and God took her ... he took these wings from me to heaven ... But he gave me other wings, another muse, another inspiration, a second wind - this is my beloved wife! If a woman is wise, then she is a GENIUS INSPIRATOR, if not, then she can ingeniously trample and destroy the potential of man. Choose WISE women as your wife! This portrait was born quickly, in one breath ... It breathes expression ... I specially painted it in dark red shades… They are called upon to convey her struggle, not a simple, blind, but very rich in creativity life ... She was the only one who was proud of me ... She charged me with faith in her talent ... She taught me not to dwell on mistakes ... Thank you, Dear Grandma! Thank God for you! If you had a grandmother who loved you and believed in you, then you will understand me! I am still a patriot of EXPRESSIONISM! I love bold, sweeping strokes ... These strokes should pulsate, radiate energy ... I try to be different in my work! God forbid being a boring creator! May God save! ) On the one hand, it is COOL when your work is RECOGNIZED! When your creativity is not impersonal and stands out, it catches the eye ... And on the other hand, be afraid of SELF-REPEATS ... Be afraid to be predicted ... Try to CHANGE!
