About The Artwork

“Blue Lady alone in her world” is portrayed naked and voluptuous, you cannot fail to notice she is alone in her world. And then we look more closely; and we notice; and we wonder; why has she turned away from us? Why will she not let us see her face? Is it because she weeps for us? For the world? And will we ever really understand her … My paintings are thoughtful, passionate, colourful, exquisite, I want to be present in the work, in the form, in the colours, in the brushstrokes, I want you to feel the challenge in the work, the love, the joy, the care, the attention, the thought and the intelligence I put into my work. My ladies tell a story, a different story every time but you never know what it is, you can guess and maybe you're right but you will never know. They have something of the night about them, they have no nationalities or boundaries, always strong, always in control always exquisite and giving no secrets away. Thank you for visiting my gallery and I really hope you will find something that you will enjoy for a long time to come. CUSTOM ARTWORK? I will be happy to create a unique custom piece in any size. Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
