BOOOM Print

The painted BOOOM and a blazing yellow-red flame reinforce the impression of catastrophe, which contrasts to a certain extent with the idyllic seashore that fills the centre of the picture. On the left is a female figure with a goat's horn, representing a maenad, and next to it a satyr with a rather animalistic laugh. Finally, Bacchus (Dionysus) himself can be seen at the bottom right. The "Bacchanal" is here collagistically exaggerated; the structure at the top left could be interpreted as part of a wine cask. In my work, I merge figurative elements with pop art and surrealism to create a powerful visual expression. Oil colours make the vibrant composition glow, while the artfully twisted shapes and striking contrasts captivate the eye. Dynamism and tension fill every element, as if culminating in a single, loud "boom". These paintings radiate energy and emotion, enlivening any room in which they hang.
