About The Artwork
I have practiced Zen Buddhism for many years and also wanted to try a Pointillism technique so I combined the two into this portrait of the Buddha sitting in Zazen in front of a candle. I love the Great Masters and like playing with the different styles and explorations of reality and space. My favourite medium is Oil on Canvas, I love the colours, pigments and texture and the time it takes to dry allowing time to make changes and adjustments. The portrait is ready to hang and has been hung at the Artwest Community Gallery for sale.
