Cap clouds form over mountain tops, and are the only clouds that do not move. The buildings take on connotations of mountains: timelessness, longevity, monumental natural beauty. This is a stark contrast to the transient reality of man-made structures which are ever-shifting, developing alongside contemporary societal and philosophical movements in an anthropocentric environment, distanced from nature. Some of the buildings in the series are famous architectural subjects, others are culturally unimportant. Some subjects are chosen with personal bias; being familiar with them or the area in which they exist. The representations don't aim to be topographical, but allow the buildings to take on an other-worldly nature, as if suspended in a context void of time and space.
