About The Artwork
This painting is the first part of a duo of paintings one with the hunter the other with the prey. The inspiration came from watching a Zebra running around an enclosure at a local zoo as it run around a huge cloud of dust came up engulfing the Zebra and making him almost disappear, the idea of the chasing Cheetah came at the same time as a natural snap in time. I choose to paint this in Acrylic to the depth of dust while still making it look semi transparent, while still looking like a cloud of dust , I hope I managed to capture the speed of the chase and the heat of the environment .
