COME OUT Print

This work is my humble attempt to depict the spiritual environment in which God's people find themselves just before the seven last plagues fall upon the earth and God's desire to save them from suffering destruction. Revelation chapter 18, verse 4 is the inspiration for this painting/drawing. In the King James Version of the Bible, it says, "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." This voice is not an angel's voice, but God's own voice, which is poignant and touching, because he chooses to make this personal call to his people himself and not delegate it to an angel. He makes this call most personal and it savors a paternal interest for his children's safety. Though in a den of demonic confusion, his children hear and recognize his voice and choose to remove themselves from this state of unrest and disobedience to a state of obedience, peace and safety. Where He is, there will His children be also. He has children in all churches and belief systems, and only those who recognize his voice and lovingly obey, "Come Out". Much of the imagery for this work came from a painting Pieter Bruegel the Elder did in 1562. It is titled, "The Fall of the Rebel Angels".
