Already as a child I discovered painting as a visual language with which I could express things for which I could not find words. As a result, painting has developed for me as an important resource that has accompanied me throughout my life. I have promoted my artistic talent over many years through further training at art academies and artists in the fields of acrylic painting, printmaking, drawing and plastic design. From 2019 to 2021 I studied art therapy at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and the Environment in Nürtingen and was able to gain a lot of knowledge about the importance of the therapeutic effect of artistic creation. Through this study, I was able to make my own artistic work more tangible for me and raise it to a new level. My inner-soul states of tension are reflected in light-dark contrasts and differentiated surfaces created by layering a wide variety of materials. Among other things, stone flours, pigments, wax and paper fragments are used. But my artistic work is not just about bringing the tension to the canvas and then leaving it there. Rather, in a healing process, I process the picture until the tension dissolves in me and in the picture, as it were. A reduced color and form language helps me with this. As a result, my works radiate calmness and create a healing counterpoint to the often hectic, noisy everyday life not only for me, but also for the viewer.
