Crossroads Print

I am a full-time artist residing in north Florida with my husband of 30 years and my cat, of 2 years. I've been creating art in my spacious home studio for 7 years. My studio is upstairs with a beautiful view of gardens, trees, and neighbor's horses. It provides so much inspiration. I retired from a career in real estate and wondered what I was going to do with my time. I'd always been a lover of art, so I figure why not give it a go. It's been a wonderful experience and I don't plan to ever stop creating. I, primarily, paint in acrylic. However, I have also been working with oil paint and cold wax this year. I like to create a lot of depth in my work by adding layer after layer of paint and mark-making with graphite and charcoal. I also like to sand my paintings in places, exposing the layers below, as well as, scratching into the layers with a skewer or other sharp object I find laying around.
