Embracing the Storm Print

While the sun is always shining above the clouds, storms are unavoidable sometimes. And since they are, it's been of great value to me to learn to embrace them while they pass instead of fighting them. Just like we can learn not to negatively judge the rain, and witness its innate calm, peaceful and solemn qualities, the intensity a storm bring has so much to be celebrated for, especially when we remember that the sun always comes back eventually. This heartfelt piece came about when the storm was passing through me. Rather than fight against it, I let it happen. I used the strong energy it held to direct my brush strokes, my markings. The earth tones I was guided to use provided a sense of safety and protection. By the end of my painting session, I felt so much better. Proof that emotions simply want to be acknowledged and celebrated in order to transmute. It is my wish that you may find solace within your own storm and perhaps feel some of the support and liberation I have felt, by viewing this piece.
