In my painting "everyone wears his backpack" I follow similar thoughts of abstract expressionism. The work is neither clear abstraction nor traditional naturalism. Every person carries his own burden, his "backpack" - a symbol for individual challenges. Through strong colors and expressive forms, I make this invisible burden visible. The work strives to cross the boundaries of conventional art forms and reveal a deeper human truth. I hope that the viewers of my work think about the invisible burdens that every person carries with him. The image is intended to promote empathy and understanding by making visible the individual struggles and experiences that often remain hidden. I want the viewers to recognize the deeper human truth and develop a sense of connection and compassion. I have chosen strong colors and expressive shapes to represent the intensity of the individual loads and to achieve a strong emotional effect. These artistic means allow me to make the invisible burden visible and to establish a deeper connection to the viewer. The style is based on the tradition of the CoBrA movement, which also used strong colors and unconventional forms to convey emotional and psychological states and to question established art forms. In addition, I used the technique of collage with cardboard to create an additional dimension and texture that reinforces the multi-layeredness and depth of the individual loads and makes the image more vivid and tangible.

Switzerland
I am a Swiss artist with Spanish roots. I live and work in Basel / Switzerland. My works are abstract, mostly acrylic on canvas. Rarely I go out of concepts, but from color and form. What is created during the painting process and what is the feeling of it? Is it something known or unknown? Sometimes I emphasize black elements, which one would not otherwise notice. Later they are replaced by further color layers. Thus, with time, a picture emerges, which is a part of my inner world.
