About The Artwork
Being from Ann Arbor, Michigan (the wolverine state) I had to paint a wolverine. Upon researching these animals I found that they are fascinating creatures. They are very tough, smart and have complex social interactions. This painting was produced after several visits to the Detroit Zoo where there are a couple captive animals. I would love to see one in the wild but given that wolverine researchers can go their whole careers without spotting a wild animal it's highly unlikely that I'll get the chance.
