In this series of paintings, I’m inspired by Master Artists such as Matisse and Diebenkorn and Abstract Expressionists, such as DeKooning and Mitchell and contemporary “Street Art”. I love to use subjects from an earlier time and place them in contemporary settings. I layer styles to create a camouflage of colors, textures and movement between negative and positive space. My emphasis is on colorful abstraction and texture and its emotional impact on the viewer.
