About The Artwork
I was inspired by the swooping flight of the Kereru to its home in the large majestic tree and to acknowledge the beauty of this native New Zealand Bird. This Kereru is going to it's home so we have to look after these trees and the environment because a home to the Kereru bird is just as important as our homes are to us. I wanted to capture the soft evening light and the gracefulness of the bird flying home.
