Kathleen Zabler, is a rural Wisconsin-based Landscape Artist. Her paintings are full of natural hues, ranging from the blues and greens of the Earth and Water to the dramatic oranges and pinks of the Sky. Her art brings the expansive grandeur of the natural world right to you. For Zabler, capturing the delicate essence of Mother Earth is paramount. Her hope is her art inspires viewers to appreciate, respect and honor the sacredness of natural resources, not only in their own area but also for our Planet. She draws inspiration from the Great Lakes, Wisconsin's unique woodlands, waterways and a lifelong interest in Astronomy. Childhood summer memories spent on the coast of Maine, where her mother grew up and the wild rustic northern Wisconsin woods, on her father's side. As well as her own travels across the United States, UK and Canada. She uses acrylics additionally dabbles with watercolors, gouache and pastels. Zabler paints on stretched canvas and archival acid free papers of all sizes, her most favorite being large format canvas. Kathleen is currently working on a series of 66 paintings, showcasing the uniqueness and accessibility of all the Wisconsin's state parks.
