Jasper de Gelder has been an artist in Rotterdam since 2001. Jasper de Gelder was also trained at the Grafisch Lyceum in Rotterdam as a graphic designer and visualiser and in this capacity has done various jobs for a number of years. In 2001 he graduated from the graphic lyceum in Rotterdam, after which he started his studies at the Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam, where he graduated in 2006 in the field of Autonomous visual arts, specializing in drawing and painting. Shortly after graduating from the academy, he leaves for varying periods for three years to Mexico where he takes up residence in Mexico City. Here he comes into contact with local artists, which results in joining the Living artroom gallery in Mexico city. Jasper's current studio is on the Lijnbaan in Rotterdam. In 2014, he co-founded the artists' collective Eldorado3000.
