About The Artwork
My style is influenced by Tiahuanaco archeology and culture, and vila-vila (my place of birth in Cochabamba) vessels I enjoyed watching at priest collection. Using this strong colors get me back to my childhood years in Vila-Vila, Novillero,Thipapampa and Aiquile here in Bolivia. This artwork and others of this serie of mine JUMBATE TARABUCO WARRIORS, are inspired in Jumbate battle where tarabuco warriors defeated spanish forces in 1816 march 12 at Jumbate. I want viewers to feel the PRIDE of tarabuco people.
