I have treated this landscape so that it resembles the very first existing photographs, with a light veiled by a diaphanous texture, giving the impression that the natural scenery becomes artificial or even supernatural. I tried to establish a balance of power between the land mass and the condensed mass in the sky, as between two magnets that attract and repel each other at the same time. The lighter and brighter center area seems to be caught in a vice between these two poles and creates another contrast between lightness and density, clear and dark. Thus appears a tension in the light which is attracted both by the gravity of the earth and that of the celestial vaults. https://youtu.be/zw1h4mVOVDk
