‘i’m just an insect trying to get out of the light’ Print

I was fascinated with the idea that some bugs will fly towards street lamps because they think it’s the moon or sun, and when they realize it’s not they get confused and just keep sort of spiraling around, trapping them in a flight pattern. They aren’t attracted to the light more than they are trapped by it. I made this painting surrounding that idea, comparing it to the relationship between humans and technology.
