IMPRESSIONS Print

There are two things I have always loved, that is music and painting. The bebop and blues collections is my attempt to combine the two. The process starts with me putting on my music of choice and starting to sketch out the outline with extremely thinned out oil paint. I then start to build up the layers until the painting is finished. This can take days or even weeks, depending on how many layers and how thinned out the paint is. In this painting I have tried something I have never done before. I attempted to give the painting more depth by using acrylic underneath the oil paint. I have named the painting "IMPRESSIONS" from a song by the legendary John Coltrane and hope the viewers will feel the same movement and layers of the painting that I felt when hearing this song
