ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In The Hands of God is an artwork that represents my Catholic origins as you can see from the cross-hearted figure in the middle, and it was made with my painting style, Toonymania. Unity is a value that I constantly represent in my paintings, for its importance in our lives. The hands of God are holding the world in a way that is preventing it from falling. The various elements that are outside of the world, such as objects, animals and humans are represented in pieces that have detached because of our selfish actions, separating us as a society. The elements that are found inside of the world are the ones that keep struggling for a better and more conscious-minded world. There is also a small demon peeking out at the top of the painting reminding us that even though good always overcomes evil, it still exists. The elements mentioned above are just a few of the many symbols that are hidden throughout the entirety of the painting waiting to be discovered by a curious spectator.
