About The Artwork
Thinking of warmer climes while winter prevails in the Northeast inspired me to remember a scene from the Virgin Islands where I once vacationed. I never saw such green water before or since, and tried to invoke the astonishment I felt at the time, and hope it will help the viewer feel it too. A palette knife and acrylic paint allowed me to paint many layers and still maintain the integrity of the marks.
