This work is inspired by my wife Jessica’s incredible bravery overcoming pain as she struggles with autonomic dysfunction and other neurological medical issues. I am also thinking about mankind’s struggle to survive and the failure of humanity to cooperate. I hope viewers will think about the struggles of those around them with obvious disabilities and those who have suffered through disabilities that are not obvious on the surface. I hope they will continue the current situation and humanities continued inhumanity to their fellow humans. The style is inspired by the post Impressionists including Paul Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh. Looking down from this mountain Starring into a fiery fountain Curtains of flames rising in the skies Smoke continually floating high Ashen dust on the ground Devastation all around Blackened trees a blanket of grey Burning all in a day Birds all gone they took flight Nothing to the left and nothing to right Down in the valley of chocking foul air Everyone in despair Looking down on wanton destruction Society’s system continually malfunctions Wanting answers to the questions Turning into introspections Thinking how it came to this Is peace an impossible wish Did dwarves delve too deep Awake some worm from its sleep Lightning striking a tall dead tree A wild storm front from the sea Consciousness a universe insane Hyperreal connections in the brain Hop onto a supersonic Perhaps the answers electronic Waiting for the singularity Everything coming into clarity Walking into a fiery fountain As the sunsets
