About The Artwork
Around the concept that I intend to elaborate, the "migrant" would not only be the individual who leaves a supposed homeland linked to the roots, originality, authenticity, identity and all that ghostly pathology of the obsessive, but rather the result of a radical loss related to desire as a basic condition of being human. Loss that would mean a dis-accommodation, a de-naturalization that founds our entry into the drift of the signs. Drift that makes us shipwrecked marked by words: deeply text-ured beings seeking, beyond them, the impossible homeland.

Bachelor of Fine Arts. He has studied and worked as an assistant in the Engraving Workshop at the School of Arts of the University of Costa Rica under the direction of MFA Rudy Espinoza, MFA Ronald Mills and Prof. Hctor Burke. He has specialized in the area of Engraving and came to master his various techniques, such as woodcutting, serigraphy, lithography, colography and metal engraving. His works have been published in several magazines and newspapers in Costa Rica and exhibited in Costa Rica, the United States, Spain, Peru, Mexico and Bolivia.
