About The Artwork

This is one of a series of paintings of subjects from my mind. This one shows my head being overcome by the complexity of my first exposure to Los Angeles in 25 years. I have started doing a series of paintings following the design of the paintings of the master, and this one is after Monet. I imagined his picnic on the grass with artificial turf in San Diego in a cubist mode. A nice wall size at 24 X 30 inches, it has striking colors. This is an original painting in oil, acrylic and ink, but is available as a giclee' Originating in the 1980s, Giclees are manufactured using high-resolution digital scans, which are printed using archival quality inks. The Giclee printing process results in greater color accuracy than any other reproduction method. At the end of a run, I destroy the file used to create the giclees. By doing this, I can be sure that my work will remain valuable. A large Giclee will have the same resolution as a smaller one. Giclees are more expensive to reproduce than the bulk prints made using traditional lithography and they are priced accordingly. Production pieces are produced by Saatchi in their lab/studios in Santa Monica, but the originals are hand made by the artist and I add a COA to every original. A lovely piece, gallery stretched ready to frame for your home, or it can be hung without framing. By Paul Henry Fresco, the Painter of Love. I am an Experimentalist. As youngsters, we are allowed to create fantasy worlds, filled with imaginary friends. Then we are told to color within the lines. RIDICULOUS! There are two paths to greatness among human beings; accident and pioneering exploration. Neither of these involve painting within the lines. Both are forms of Experimentalism. Accident occurs when, by happenstance, a new ideas is formulated by a trained observer while viewing a random happening. Penicillin for example. pioneering is terribly expensive, because many pioneers are represented by the dried out bones on the desert. I am concerned about the future. Technology continues to advance at a speed with which humans cannot assimilate. I believe people are not able to adjust to the speed with which this is happening. Don't you hate trying to use 411 service or the robot "customer service lines"? My work is a combination of futurism, expressionism, nature, android technology and human body forms. This is known as NEO CONSTRUCTIVISM. I juxtapose natural realistic forms with strange mechanical forms. I take a broad range of powerful colors and arrange them in various unusual positions. My devotional is to beauty, but not in the conventional sense. That is Neo Constructivism. ALL ARTWORK IS SHIPPED IN A TUBE, READY TO MATT AND FRAME.
