About The Artwork
For years now, my work has been tangled in thoughts of ego and the understanding of life and being alive. In my eyes this painting is an expression of how self-consciousness and realization can be liberating for the ever craving mind by eliminating ego for the physical being. We create tension in ourselves between our ego and the reality around us, ending up like beings in this picture, standing above the world with the power we think we have, but actually confused and powerless of our own actions.
