About The Artwork

The painting was painted in 2020 in the month of April, oil on canvas. I have often been to Khiva because I live in Uzbekistan. But I live in the northern part of the republic, here you can meet camels, but this is not as common as in the southern part of the republic, we have more horses here. Why I painted a picture in such pastel light colors, there is an explanation for this, since in the Khorezm region, there are often winds and dust and sand, then I wanted to convey this moment. Khiva is a beautiful historic city with minarets everywhere you can see in the city and beyond. You can also contemplate camels as they move along the side of the road. Of course, cities are growing, becoming fashionable and beautiful. and in the very center of the city you will no longer find walking animals. But outside the city, where the villages begin, almost many families still have these animals, many have their own creameries in the house, and the camels walk in circles and turn the millstones. It turns out flaxseed and sesame oil. Camel milk is considered very useful, national kumis is made from it, this milk drink saves from the heat. Walking through the old city, you are imbued with the local flavor, immersed in the history of the city, mentally imagining yourself there in the distant past. it is very interesting. A lot of tourists visit these places. Through this picture, I convey to you, my dears, this historical smell of warm air and hospitable Uzbekistan.
