About The Artwork
This model combines an interesting golden and brown skin color with a proud, outward gaze.A challenge to capture on canvas! She is of mixed Moluccan and Spanish descent. The Moluccan isles are part of Indonesia, and the model's Asian-Pacific roots are evident. Once again, I painted in a Gauguin-like atmosphere, without noticing ir first. The painting is made using the finest oil colors and a fine cotton canvas. It was painted in an alla prima manner, no photography was used.
