I always use oil on canvas - oil paints does not fade, does not burn out and it is durable. And canvas itself is great and it is easier to restore "bugs" that can appear during transportation or humidity in different countries. For example - knurl that can appear by accident , just spraying some water and it is itself restored. I use flax canvas - it is more elastic than cotton and more durable.
