About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by a photograph I had taken while traveling down the highway. What caught my attention was the big orange Gulf sign positioned against an old forgotten service station. The afternoon sun bringing out the blinding white of the tin roof with not a cloud in the sky. I thought to myself that this must have been a busy place back in it's day with kids crossing the street to get a cold coke on a warm October day. This painting captures the stoic attitude of a forgotten time. Using artist quality oil paints over a cotton canvas stretched on a wood frame. Hanging hardware is not included.
