About The Artwork

Night Sky Sunset Pink yellow 332 Acrylic on Stretched 3D Canvas 30cm x 24cm x 4cm (9.5 inches x 12 inches x 1.5 inches) These wonderful silhouette night sky paintings are painted in acrylic inks on stretched canvas box frames. When dry, a straight glowing line is drawn to represent the horizon and give perspective. There is also usually a flock of birds or ducks flying by, sometimes hardly noticeable at first glance. It's a night sky early sunset or sun rise. The intensity and bright flat colours ink produce and acrylic brush paint add texture to the flat surface. The whole painting is varnished to protect the inks saturation and intensity of colour. These were added after my larger watercolour and inks on paper were made some twenty years before. Some I still have and need framing, the cost and finding a good framer is hard. I worked as a framer years ago, so know the work that goes into framing an artwork. These paintings are complete and sides are also painted.
