The jar of perfume is an iconic and symbolic object to hide the fears and to be refuge of the evils that surrounds to us That invade our space, our reality A reality that is not the same as that of other people The darkness is part of that abstraction Dreams that exist only in our being Dreams of which no one will rescue us

My talent for drawing was first inspired because of the mere act of wanting to capture that which I could not have: the photograph of an actress, a painting book or of a story. I had a childhood destitute in books, stories, cinema, television and it made me want to have and capture beauty. My admiration of painters and my facination for beauty made me copy everything I could get my hands on and then which had to go back to its original owner. At school the materials I could use were few. I had to use colour pencils and paper that were in other peoples houses and so the results stayed there too. Most of the works I did were at school and were in pencil. That is what there was. Most of my inspiration was taken from school books, magazines or anything that caught my attention. My first portraits in pencil came out of this and I continued to perfect my technique from over the years...
