Omnia circum me versantur, Carissima (It's all about me, Darling) Print

Now in a private collection, the painting had been exhibited at the eponymous show at The Williamson Art Gallery Birkenhead in 2016. As its title suggests this is all about the artist and his upbringing in Merseyside. In the form of an Renaissance Apse altarpiece, the painting incorporates 24 carat gold leaf and each building in Liverpool is painted incorporating gold and silver paint. The Latin inscription at the foot of the painting is the final line in the 1957 movie, The Night of The Demon; "Maybe it's better not to know."
