In this painting my main source of inspiration was a contrast between dark and stormy sky and the lighting orange house which is situated just next to my home. I painted this subject a few times using different format of the paper. I often use this motive in my paintings as I am really affascinated with the energy of the sky just before the storm. This artwork is realized in pure watercolor. I always use high-quality watercolor and 100% cotton paper. This artwork has participated in the Watercolor Exhibition held in 2022 in France “Art Connexion Mondiale Exposition D’aquarelles” (Couret) In case you need more detailed foto, please let me kmow.

I am watercolor artist born in Russia but living in Italy (Lombardy) last 9 years. I graduated from St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy but several years ago I started drawing and painting as a hobby, then I have passed through several courses dedicated to painting in watercolor and now I am studying at Milan Academy of Art (classical drawing and painting). Starting november 2020 I am a member of Italian Association of Watercolor Artists (Associazione Italiana Acquerellisti AIA). I have participated in several international on-line and off-line exhibitions of Watercolor (participant certificate is available per request). My prefereed subject was and remain the nature around me. I take a lot of inspiration also from my trips within Italy and abroad, in every place I find some beauty that I try to capture in my painting. I especially enjoy painting en plein-air due to this unique interaction you have with the subject at the moment of painting. I also like painting still life. Recently I have started painting portraits with pencil and charcoal which I found incredibly interesting as it makes my artistic experience more vast and help me to know the people's nature deeper.
