This painting is a semi-abstract interpretation of magnificent flowers and is inspired by the blooming peonies in Kyiv summer. The delicate colour was what I was trying to capture. This painting has been produced using artist-grade oil paint on linen canvas. A coat of professional grade art varnish has been applied to optimise the colour and protect the painting from dust, UV light, and other environmental factors. I am a Ukrainian artist with a mathematical background based in Kyiv. Since my childhood, I have had two passions - painting and solving maths tasks. I became a financier with a desire to return to painting later. Some years ago I went to study at a private art school in Kyiv, and now I have been actively painting for the last 7 years. Flowers, the world of nature and cities is pretty much an obsession - shapes, textures, colors around me impel to paint. I like to express the intensity of moments when nature reveals its striking beauty through my style and color palette.
