About The Artwork
For this unique acrylic painting I was inspired by the murals in Ancient Rom and Pompeji. This is my own interpretation of that style. I put an old, already vergotten painting style, with my own style together. I love this creation, this development with these both styles. I hope you love it too. Enjoy it. I worked in many layers to get an antique and weathered surface. I used artist filler ,high quality acrylic color and pigments.Fist an artist filler is spread over the canvas. This will give the painting after many layers are painted an authentic-antique expression. Finished with a coat of varnish to protect the painting. Each of my paintings tells a story. I play with colors, materials, textures and fabrics. Most of time I spend "composing" the painting. I have to see it in front of my inner eye. However I have to know only the direction I want to goe. Only than I can start painting. At the beginning I don´t know how the pictures will look at the end. The picture guides my hand and tells me how it will go on. I only relay on my inner pictures and I play with my fantasy and imagination. It is my way to paint a picture and it is a way which makes me happy.
