Proskuneo AKA The Kiss Print

This painting is titled after the Greek word Proskuneo, which means to worship, to kiss, & to move forward. I wanted to capture that moment during praising God when you can feel the Holy Spirit come down, move towards us. A colliding of two worlds, the natural and the Supernatural. This painting has a hand created design of silver, gold and copper leaf composition (not real metals). The purpose of the filigree design is to exemplify the intimacy, warmth, and delicateness of the moment. The leafing composition is inspired by the 15th century religious works where actual 22 carat gold leaf is used. The modern twist for this piece is the deep blue skies inspired by Maxfield Parrish. I chose the lilies simply because I LOVE lilies! This painting comes ready to be hung. Framing it will be a personal preference since it is a gallery wrapped canvas with gold leaf composition on the edges.
