New Orleans Native, Rebecca Pons is an Artist of the Dreamy Emotional World and the beauty of Louisiana. She paints what she feels, moments and experiences from her life that I like to put into an actual living piece of work. Rebecca is an artist living and working in New Orleans, LA. In addition to be Visual Artist, Rebecca also creates art in the form of Illustration / Multimedia, Print andMotion Design / Web / Photography /Videography and GIS Cartography. New collections include "Aura and Wings”, “LouisaMystery”, “Free” and "Deepest Love”, are sure to move your soul! Rebecca’s artwork is in multi mediums and styles. She has more recently been focusing on abstract dark and light spectrums of fantasy - raw emotions - 60s influences - pop art - digital - and realism that embodies reflections of southern nature. In her work, she deconstructs the mind - fantasy and southern realism. Creating what she feels. All of her art has underlying meanings based on emotions. Dark and light spectrums of fantasy develop from the depths of her mind and imagination. Energy’s, Aura’s and Louisiana life are a part of her watercolors and acrylics. Her realism is based on feelings mixed with the beautiful surreal fantasy-like creatures and elements of southern life. Her pop/retro art is created when I am feeling vibrant and reminiscent of a very interesting time in our art history. While she uses a variety of materials and processes in each project, her methodology is consistent. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different projects they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through the subject matter. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of the work. Each project consists of one work or thought, sometimes in a range of different medium or just one medium, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During research and production new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work. Rebecca studied Art and creativity all her life, starting at the age of 5. In elementary school she took Fine Art classes in the summers by . In high school she took Fine Art, Science and Digital Design electives. Then moving on to college, studying under the Dean of the Fine Arts College (Carol Leake) and other fine professors at Loyola University, she honed in on her style and talents.
