And the energy that monster possesses gets back to us to face again with the primitive energy. We have worshiped them for many years. I draw the monster and its scenery in that sense. I work on my pieces by looking at my monster and by getting on their backs to face larger providence and gaze, to resist, or sometimes to accommodate myself, and imagine myself finally being freed. I believe the engraved energy in my drawings exists for real. [ About the Artist ] Junwon Lee, an artist who draws unique monsters with the theme of Totem Monsters, is a contemporary artist who paints a story of things with explosive energies mixed with the limitedness of life, fear and bravery, overcoming and malleability. He is a rising artist with the spotlights who is continuing his art exhibitions at domestic and French stages such as Grand Palace the French national museum, and KMCA(Korean Museum of Contemporary Art.
