Anna Lalayan is a lawyer by education, who changed her job in the prosecutor's office to modern art. She is member of the Union of Artists since 2022. Despite the fact that she is still a young artist who is in search of her artist statement, she has already managed to make a noise on the Internet, to work as assistant director of the Belgorod Cultural Center "October". Her assets include painting, performance, body art, experiments with multimedia. She easily moves from one to the other, feeling extremely confident and despite the almost complete absence of the sphere of modern art in the city of Belgorod, successfully addresses the viewer with the language of digital culture. Her paintings seem to have “slipped” into objective reality from the phone screen and at the same time “pull” the viewer back into digital reality, through Instagram posts, masks, QR codes. Charity and animal welfare became an important part of the exhibition activity (cooperation with specialized communities, finding a home for abandoned animals, collecting help and things for shelters). "The series of paintings "Living Forms" is about love for all living things, about the highest value of each unit and about its existence in the environment. Through my works, I convey devotion to what nature has created. Each mysterious line depicted by me is endowed with life, reflecting with each other, the lines strive to find a common form, and any form tries to create an organism capable of thinking. The result of reflexes and instincts is a picture – a body with its own soul and a special character. Could you ever imagine that not only you are a spectator, but also the canvas is a curious, silent observer? While you are looking for a hidden meaning in the curves and lines, the picture itself is trying to get to know you. The main color of my work is pink, which I give a special meaning to. This color means life, the building material for living forms. The color “blood with milk” is the foundation for each of us, it can be found in the subconscious and the body of any person. Through the pink color, I want to remind the viewer that we are part of something bigger and in many ways similar to each other, regardless of appearance, gender, age, political and religious views."
