Revolution Art & Street - GSO #1 Print

This piece of street art was born as real art in the real street. It was in March of 2022 when i went to my hometown and i joined with a friend. We paint a lot of graffiti, and in a moment of the night i found a piece of wood, in that moment i thought, "wait, why dont i paint this right now with the cans i have?" So this piece was born while i was walking, in a dark street of Montevideo, Uruguay, at 3 am. The second part of the story its a little weirder. Here in Uruguay we had a big wave of people coming from Venezuela between 2016 and now. One of them, escaped after he was 2 weeks in the hospital for receiving multiple shots and a beat up by the police forces of Venezuela. After that, he managed himself to leave the country. He went to Brazil, and after a year, he arrived here, in Uruguay.. This year, two days before leaving Uruguay back to Venezuela, he asked me for a tattoo, so we did it. He asked me to write "In Lak Ech" which means "I am you" in Quechua, the original language of the Mayans, the civilization that lived in Mexico and South América for Thouthans of years. A few days after we did the Tattoo work, i was cleaning up the studio, and i saw that i forgot to drop the ink that i used for the tattoo, so what i did was to use it in this painting. And that´s what you can appreciate in the low área of the piece. For me this was the beginning of something bigger.. It means empowerment of the artists. It means Struggle. It means Flow. It means Risky decisions. It means Big Rewards. It means War. It means Peace. It means Life. The life of the street Art. The life of the revolutions.
