About The Artwork
One of a group of three paintings of my local fishing town of Rye, East Sussex. The picturesque town of Rye has an active sea-fishing industry operating out of Simmons Quay. The main catches are the famous Rye Bay scallops. Here we see the Quay and a pair of fishing boats, captured in early morning sunlight against a background of the iconic St Mary's church in the ancient hill-top town of Rye, East Sussex
