About The Artwork

Nature, sea, seaweed. Jenny mainly work works with oil, acrylic and mixed mediums. Jenny’s works are contemporary in nature and are primarily abstracts and semi-abstracts. Bold colours help define the rich, imaginative nature of her works which often leads the viewer into a visual and emotional feast that lingers well after the viewing of her art. Her works are drawn from her own inner world and the world of her  imagination. She sees the world with her unique perspective, with the heart and nature to communicate with people, penetrate through the inner side of the world. Jenny is a very talent artist, she is capable to work in a variety of styles.Her unique bold using of color and forms is influenced by her favorite master Matisse.

Jenny Wang Catton 王佳妮 Visual Artist Painter Jenny was born in Xi'an,China and currently resides on the beautiful west coast of Canada in the city of Vancouver (British Columbia). ​ Jenny has had a love for art since her childhood. But she only started attending studying for her Advanced Painting Certificate program at Emily Carr University (one of the most renowned art schools in North America) in the spring of 2013. During the past three and a half years of study, Jenny has been continuely imporving her artistic skills and work style. She mainly work works with oil, acrylic and mixed mediums. Jenny’s works are contemporary in nature and are primarily abstracts and semi-abstracts. Bold colours help define the rich, imaginative nature of her works which often leads the viewer into a visual and emotional feast that lingers well after the viewing of her art. Her works are drawn from her own inner world and the world of her imagination. She sees the world with her unique perspective, with the heart and nature to communicate with people, penetrate through the inner side of the world. Jenny is a very talent artist, she is capable to work in a variety of styles.Her unique bold using of color and forms is influenced by her favorite master Matisse. Jenny is just start to take off in her career, but her work has been privately collected by art lovers from Canada, US, Europe and China. Jenny has her private studio in great Vancouver and actively participating local art shows, workshops and other artistic event. She is currently a member of South Delta Artists Association, member of the California Art Club, and a member of Chinese Women Contemporary Art Association.
