About The Artwork

The name "Closed Woman" is written on the back, although it was supposed to be a "Second skin" and it probably came out not by chance, since each of us has both a female side and a male side. The red smear in my works always means blood and for me it is a symbol of life, birth, strength and love. Sometimes we want to shoot this life -as if to be born again about these feelings I want to tell you my dear viewer!

In her works, Angelica explores the concept of sleep. After all, most of the time we live in a dream - in this little-studied parallel world. As an artist, she studies dreams, what we observe in a dream is often realistic in fragments, while the other part of dreams is incredible, blurred or on the verge of fiction, and this idea contributed to the formation of her unique style combining realistic images and abstract details. In her works, Angelica conveys this contrast of a focused point in memory and the blurring of perception in a dream. Through many years of experimentation, she found her own unique style, which contains a synthesis of theatricality and spirituality. Through her images, Angelika Klimina strives for the viewer to see the importance of awareness and the presence of memory in a dream. In the process of work, she plunges into a "certain" state of trance, meditation or half-drowsiness, in a state that fills the paintings with energy and strength.
