About The Artwork

I was inspired to create this painting by India, the country's rich traditions, deeeeepest culture and invaluable impact on us all on the planet. Here is a girl who came to see one of the most sacred cities in India Varanasi located on the banks of the Ganges river. Varanasi and the Ganges (Indians pronounce it as "gangah") play an unprecedented role in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. The Ganges river is the holy river for these people, who must pilgrimage to see it at least once in their lives. A lot of Indians come to Varanasi to go to a better world (pass away). On top of the morning Sun, I put a symbol of Om or Aum, a sacred sound for many people in the world. I wanted it to look like a vague hint of a cloud

"Adore painting women, flowers, and seascapes! These are all my true inspiration". Valerie Kraplia is an artist from Ukraine whose works explore woman life, togetherness & solitude, personal transformation, motherhood & personal memories, and also nature as a comforting serene ambiance inspiring for contemplations. The artist also adores creating floral still lives. She primarily works in a semi-abstract manner, combining expressive abstract thick bold strokes which give extra vividness and expressiveness to paintings with finely elaborated features. The artist loves experimenting with mixing colors, playing with textures and tools. She admits that despite using many different tools (brushes, plastic cards, film wrap, forks, napkins, her own fingers, cotton buds, and many others) her best-loved pick and real fav is a palette knife. Valerie says, "it allows creating the textures I myself love touching with hands and eyes to give those rich paintings further to you".
