About The Artwork

I'm always fascinated by the uncertainty of love. Maybe I'm flawed. In this painting a nude woman is giving a nude man a "come hither" signal. They perch precariously on a building's stone roof overlooking a city. Clearly there is an attraction, Equally clear is that the union is dangerous and may result in harm. It's an old story of fear and love.

Kevin Trabaris is a figurative oil painter whose work captures the stories and images that expose the beauty and emotions of the human condition. Trabaris' fascination with art began as a small child, and he drew for many years. Mr. Trabaris minored in art history in college before settling into the practice of law. In 2003, Trabaris was drawn back to art and started taking classes at local art schools and at a Chicago atelier to better master representational oil painting. He has also taken many painting workshops over the years where he has studied with numerous recognized artists. Mr. Trabaris has found, to his surprise, that the years spent as an attorney has given him a personal reserve of stories, experiences and examples of human foibles to inform his art for many years to come. Currently, Mr. Trabaris is working on private commissions and preparing a body of work for future exhibition.
